Removing the Mag Safety
I hear from the forums to use a Mark ll Hammer and a spacer to take up the slop. Has anybodyelse tried it without the spacers? I installed a Sear from Rinfire in my Ruger 678H 22/45. During the assembly I purposely left out the Mag Safety. Moving the Sear back and forth I notice there was no differe...

Those 2 parts houses were out of stock.
The local gunsmith who come to our range had a used one in his box. He installed it for $20 and now it works just fine.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Mark III 22/45 Upgrade-Detail strip
Installed a new VQ MarkII Hammer this morning, to go along with the VQ Sear I installed earlier. All the parts came from Rimfire. With the help of Bullseye, I now have a real smooth crisp trigger pull. I can't see installing the a new trigger because it feels perfect now. The pretravel is just right...

Before you take it down to add the washers order a VQ Sear from Rimfire. The $20 new sear makes a big difference in the trigger pull. Go to your local Hardware Store, they have a large selection of thin and thick washers, go with the thin ones so you can adjust it for a good fit. After all this, the...

Thanks for the help and all your good advice.
Next cleaning I'll remove the Mag Safety and install a washer. This forum is a great tool for learning.

MarkIII 22/45, took it all the down and clean it
I lost the Magazine Safety Spring, assembled without it. It seems to work ok dry firing it with a nice light trigger pull. Now the mag flies out when I hit the release. Also, it will fire now with the mag out.
Question, will it hurt to fire it like this until I replace the spring???

MarkIIIH 678 22/45, VQ Sear sticky.
When I first installed it I gave it a light coating of gun oil. Now, after about 1 brick it feels sticky maybe a little polishing and dry lube on the sear would fix the problem.
Would appreciate any advice.
