Sling Shot Conversion 22/45
Just put a VQ trigger and sear a Bam bushing and LCI filler in my 22/45 lite. While I was in there I did the sling shot conversion removing the bolt stop lever detent ball and spring. I now have a very nice trigger right at two and a quarter pounds. The magazine safety is gone and so is the loaded c...

Ruger Mark l and ll Barrels
Just wondering about the build of Mark I and II pistol barrel lengths. Is the 4 3/4" barrel more common than the 6" version? Does anyone know on the Mark I and Mark II how many 4 3/4" and 6" where made? It has been my experience that 6" barrel guns are less common. I am just wondering if that is tru...

Powder Coating
My son has offered to powder coat my new to me MKII 5 inch Bull. I understand the powder coating is very durable and that it does not have a flat smooth finish. Other than the non traditional look is there any other down side to powder coating this pistol?

Just received my MK II frame back from VQ. It now has a very nice 40 ounce trigger. They said I was doing every thing correctly. And that they had to replace the VQ trigger and modify the VQ sear to get it to work. These problems should not happen with drop in parts. But VQ customer service is great...

Here is what I ended up doing. Thinking that the sear just might work in another pistol. I took a Mark I apart with a VQ sear that breaks at about 2 pounds. I swapped the sears and put the one that works in the Mark II and the one that did not in the mark I. It now works in the Mark I with a 4 Plus ...

VQ Replacement Sear
Got the replacement sear yesterday it will not work either.I know I am not a gunsmith but have put two of these in before without a problem. It looks to me like the sear is hitting the safety even in the fire position not allowing the hammer to drop. Anyone have an idea about this? I just may take V...
