My MK II is prone to stovepipes - I recently bought it used. While cleaning it I noticed chattermarks on the bottom of the bolt. Any idea what may have caused this? Would this have anything to do with the stovepiping? Should I try to smooth them out? Also, could I snip a loop of the recoil spring ou...

Wow, i got it together and it works just as it did the day I bought it.

Thanks for your help. Without it I was lost! The hardest part was figuring out that magazine disconnect - where the spring went and all.
