There's no question buckshot will do a better job in stopping an intruder, but most people live in areas where it's dangerous for penetration through your walls then through your neighbor's walls, possibly killing them. I just sold about 6lbs of AutoComp because I didn't like it for my applications, it always seemed a little inconsistent to me. I guess it was made for compensated guns, hence the name, but with 9's, 38's, 45's I couldn't find a happy load.

My guess they shot Millions of $$$$ up just for fun. They did say that most were Doctors and Lawyers , so big income to feed the habit.
