I'll shoot them some, but for the most part I think I'll just hang on to them. At least for the time being. Bill T.

A Pair Of 75th Anniversary Browning Hi-Power's

I’ve been wanting a Browning Hi-Power for quite a long time. Admittingly it hasn’t been way up on my list, because the version I wanted just seemed a little hard to come by for some reason. Like so many pistols, Browning has gone with quicker to manufacture, lower cost options. I wanted a polished b...

Do those slings interfere with shooting, billt ? I never thought of any more than a carry sling for a lever gun, until looking at your photos there. Not really. The sling on the Winchester Model 88 came with the gun, and I just left it on. It's a military style sling. The sling on the Marlin 1894 ....

Anyone Into Lever Guns?

I'm not a whole lot into lever guns, but here are a few of them. Sorry about some of the pictures, Some were scan jobs off of older photos. http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz50/billt460/WinchesterModel94.jpg A early 1970's Winchester Model 94 .30-30 I bought brand new off the rack at Sears in 197...

http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz50/billt460/Kimber8400KimberStainless1911Rug-5.jpg I also picked up this Kimber Stainless II a couple of months ago. It really got me going on the 1911 platform. Before I bought this Kimber, I only owned one 1911, this Colt Gold Cup I purchased new way back in 1...

Scope placement is critical on hard recoiling Magnum rifles. This one I set back a little farther than normal because the gun is heavy enough to curb any violent movement. Normally on a .300 Win. Mag. sporter I won't set the rear eyepiece back any farther than the trigger guard. Bill T.

Nothing wrong w/ that one. Hows the recoil ? It is actually quite mild because of the guns heavy weight. Naked it weighs in at 9.9 pounds. Add on a scope and steel rings and it comes in right around 12 pounds, give or take a few ounces. Actual felt recoil off the bench is less than some .30-06 and ...

I hope you plan on doing a range report. I've got some Rosin coming Thursday from Mounting Solutions and when it gets here I'll pull the ring caps off and apply it. A lot of .50 BMG shooters swear by it. http://www.mountsplus.com/miva/merchant.mvc?page=MSP/PROD/all/LLR-SGR-NR1 Hopefully I'll get to...

Here she is with everything mounted up. As soon as the Rosin comes I'll pull the ring caps and apply it, and she'll be ready for the range! The rings and base were more than the scope. The main thing when scoping a fifty is rigidity. I figure the stronger you make everything in the mounting set up, the less things will flex. That's what really damages scopes on .50's. With these rings I have the option to go to a 30 MM scope by just rem...

It is the same as any other rifle. Just capable at much longer ranges. It is simply the biggest caliber allowed without a Destructive License by the ATF. These guns are accurate, fun, and not all that expensive to shoot with much of the surplus ammunition that is out there. They can be handloaded ac...
