MY Taurus PT1911SS

Post by jstanfield103 » Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:59 am

I have worked on this gun for several hours.
1. Replaced the hammer ( did not like the safety in the hammer)
2. Replaced the trigger with a short trigger ( fits my hand better)
Removed the billboards ( slide was no flat but a little wavy, removed the waviness with a stone and polished)
4. Replaced the grips
5. Put a magwell on it and polished it out
6. Replaced the Bushing with a thick flanged bushing
6. Replaced the end cap with a thick fanged end cap

Congratulations, from what I can see that Taurus looks pretty nice. It's amazing what a minor change like the trigger can do for the feel of a pistol, especially if you have smaller hands.

That came out looking nice with the polished flats.......

Trigger reach is very important when it comes to fit. Glad the short reach trigger did the trick.

That is a nice polish you got on that. Mirror would be the correct term for it. Very purdy.
