thats great to see every one coming up with there own idea of a filler plug. i bought mine from a guy at rim fire central and he threaded the hole where the pin went thru. so when the filler is installed you would thread in the set screw and lock it in place. great job guys

I like seeing a whole bunch of problem solvers attack a problem. One mind can achieve a solution but many minds attacking a similar problem come up with multiple solutions.

Is there a trick to puling the pin? Mine seems to be rounded over on the edge and seated flush so it's near impossible to grab it with a knife edge.
Maybe a couple hundred rounds might loosen it?
Nice work on the SS LCI from Bullseye.

You use a strong magnet, then you may have to wiggle it.

My factory LCI pin is black plastic of some sort, I guess either Delrin or nylon. Once the receiver was off the frame, a few wiggles of the LCI worked the pin out enough to grab with tweezers.

It being plastic is what gave me the idea for my new pin. Use a 6-32 X 3/4 inch nylon screw and slice just the head off with a razor blade. The threads hold it in snug. You screw on a 6-32 T-nut, or spacer, or regular nut, to pull it out. The T-nut or spacer are easier to use.

Post by boltbusterdw » Wed Dec 22, 2010 12:20 pm

I've had the gun done for some time now. I went shooting yesterday for the first time in quite a while. I showed a friend this post and that's when I realized I never posted the finished pictures....

Here goes...

That pistol has a very nice custom look to it. Mint green color adds a lot of dimension to the look of your pistol.

I was hoping for more of a military color but I was at the mercy of the anodizer. I made a couple extra...pm me and I'll send you one for all your help.

Grips add dimension too...

Post by boltbusterdw » Wed Dec 22, 2010 12:41 pm

Grips add dimension too...makes for a wider grip not to mention covering up the plastic. Fits my hand much better!

Thanks! I deeply appreciate the offer, but I really have no need for a LCI blank off plate. They do look very nice!
