Hel--l-o-o-o-o-o.....?

Post by ruger22 » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:58 am

Anybody out there? I hear a big echo........ :?

Hope everybody is okay. Maybe you're all out shooting? I hope I'll have a day off match some good weather next month. Nothing like having a new gun in poor shooting weather.

My area is getting almost good weather, finally, if it could just keep getting better. But, 62 yesterday, and supposed to work back down to 40s over the next few days. Spring is not here yet.

No echos, just folks who don't say much when they don't have much to say. The site traffic is still there so I know folks are checking the forum regularly. I check it usually twice each day. I mainly weed out the bogus registration applications.

I check in several times a day. Sometimes I have something to say sometimes not.

Weather has been pretty nice around here lately. I shot earlier this week.

I stop by once or twice a day. In-between talkative spells, I tend to lurk.

Lately I've been worn out from various "honey-do" projects, and haven't had much to say.

With all the global warming here in Michigan it's all I can do to go to work. I was supposed to take a "new" shooter out 6 weeks ago but it's just been too darn cold. There is hope, the days are getting longer and the "honey do" list is getting shorter.....

I drop in, haven't had much to say.

Getting ready for bowling pin season, the best I can on 12h nightshifts. (4 on, 1 off, repeat ... fun)

New custom pin gun:

{borked picture removed by BFD}
Note my ammo sponsor's poster in the background

I should be able to run an all-Armscor 1911 lineup for pins this year
6" semicustom .45acp
5" hicap 9mm (My TCM pistol in 9x19 setup)
5" XT22 .22lr

If I can't find an available load that runs right in the XT22, I'll have to do a complete teardown of my mk2.5, something is getting fouled/gritty in there, I'm losing the beautiful target trigger feel slowly, and it's edged into being annoying.
With the new 8.5" mkII upper on that mkIII frame with VQ internals, I should have one heck of a target gun, but there's an appeal to running three of the same for matches, too.

You just remember that the "shorter" is temporary. The little ladies never let it get too short.......... :shock:

Neither have I, seen any photos. I tried the link and it appears to me that it cannot be directly linked over from another forum. Usually I can get these to work but that website must have linking turned off to prevent exceeding their bandwith limitations.

Well crap - let's see if I can get it to post from elsewhere then.
I feel like an idiot, it showed up in preview.

Stupid job computers block my image host, so I have to work around it ...

Does this link work?
{borked picture removed by BFD}

It honestly isn't the greatest picture, it's mostly for the gag on my ammo sponsor.
The gun is seriously cool, though, I just can't stand to have a normal 1911, so a 5" barrel with bushing had to go. This is much better!

That's what I see, an ad for Google G-mail. Maybe the NSA took Dave's photo??
