MERRY CHRISTMAS

Post by bigfatdave » Tue Dec 25, 2012 3:56 am

Well, since I'm on eastern Time and working night shift, I get to be first in wishing our small community a Merry Christmas.

Thanks to Dr Bullseye for providing the forum, and all the posters for providing discussion topics and reading material.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from beautiful Alpine, Texas!

Can't wait for sun-up, so I can go out and play with new toys.

Merry Christmas to all.

Sorry I'm late, decided to checkout the Ohio blizzard first hand.

You thought I was joking about the Spam and MREs, Eh? Once hailing from the snow belt in Ohio that runs all the way through to Buffalo, NY I know what snow storms can be like this time of the year there. Hopefully you got to your destination without any delays; enjoy the holidays with your son.

thanks BE, I hope you are having a great holiday. I especially liked the Garand light display you had up!

As for the greener,.... He had to come north of the mason dixon line for mom to see the grand kids too.... first stop was his favorite child's in Lansing for grandma to see the newest one for a chrismas visit, then to the west to visit my 3 stooges.

Nothing like a festive "stacking tree" to brighten up the holidays. If all the Who's in Whoville had some of these there wouldn't have been any Grinches stealing Christmas! Some Grinches tried it a while back near Christmas time in Bastogne, but some of these babies kept them from succeeding.

Glad to hear you, and your Dad and Mom, were together for the holidays with the stooges, "Nyuck, Nyuck, Nyuck!" Have a great New Year too!

Ahhh, I remember those days, frosty fingers that felt like pins & needles when they started defrosting and snotcicles dangling from our noses after many hours out enjoying ourselves in the great white north. Nothing like taking in a huge swath of air in through our noses only to get an instant brain freeze from the cold dry air.

Happy New Year!
