I have Googled this without any certain info.
I know I can ship a gun to Ruger, as they are an FFL. Questions:
Can Ruger send a repaired gun directly back to me? I think they can.
Can Ruger send a replacement gun (same model, new serial number) directly to me? On this, I'm finding conflicting info.
My LCR-22 is going back this week, and will likely be replaced, having frame damage.
Anybody know how much they want returned? Just the gun, or everything including the box and manual?

Ruger will pay both ways. They will send you an air bill for UPS and will return via UPS. The problem with the return is that someone must sign for the return. If no one is present to sign, they will leave you a note and you have to arrange a drop off time or pick it up at the UPS service center. In Richmond, that's about 30 miles from my house.
Not bad for me. Overnight UPS is delivered by 11 AM. Wife leaves house at 10:30, I'm home before that. If not, hub is a mile from me.
My concern was a replacement having to go FFL instead of my house?

This may be a little different situation, it was when I sold a firearm(s). Some people just go ahead and ship a firearm without notifying the shipping company that it is a firearm to save on shipping fees. I choose not to do that for peace of mind, and always pay a fee to a FFL to ship for me. Rather be safe then sorry.

I'm pretty sure that here in the Hoosier state if its a gun you already own going in for repairs or the like you're ok but if its a replacement with a new serial # that you've not "owned" previously then it has to go thru an ffl. I'm not sure if that is a state or federal thing though. It might be different in your state.
