Unfun in Pigeon Forge TN

Post by ruger22 » Mon Jun 25, 2012 7:17 pm

Currently there, not my idea of vacation. Only gun stuff here is a small indoor range, and a pawn shop that deals about half guns, half whatever. Online search showed they are nothing special. So if I get by them fine, if not, fine.

I did make it into the Bass Pro here, was no more impressed than the one in Richmond, VA.

Did not carry here, wife worry-warting about TN reciprocity with VA, though I knew it's okay.

On an old slow laptop we brought, with an even slower motel unsecure wi-fi. Couldn't log in on eBay and be safe, but looked up my sales separate, and they are doing well with almost a week to go. That cheered me up some.........My cell phone won't work here, I'll hope my consigned guns are doing well for me, too....... :(

You could always go to Dollywood! But I'll bet you've already figured that one out for yourself.

It's required fun to go where your bride wants to go. It makes up for all the stuff you did wrong previously.

Heat wave coming, still 90's here like last few days, but 100-106 over the next several days. Dollywood wouldn't do! We were leaving Thursday, but may go tomorrow to beat the hot.

Greener should look out, it's headed across VA. Map I've seen shows it may 100+ be in Richmond starting Sunday.........

Very pleasant in Richmond and northern PA today, understand the weekend might be a little hot for fishing.

Sounds like you are having a good time in TN

Well, I made it home a few hours ago. My trip booty was a bag of socks and an 8 dollar hand drill. The wife had several bags of stuff. I'll balance it out with LCR goodies....... :D

I did make it by Sevier Pawn Shop. They had two 30 carbine Blackhawks, looked about 80 %, either for $469. A Model 34 Beretta, only about 60 % but looked above average on dings and scratches, clean bore, $235. Your choice if a Colt Agent or Cobra for $600 each, too high for sure, well worn. The star attraction was a 1943 PPK with Nazi stamps for $1400, rust included. Had about a dozen other run of the mill handguns. Didn't see any rifles.
