Especially easy if she was amply endowed and left handed. Shooting south side as I do get a lot of burns on my right arm when wearing short sleeves and shooting my 10/22, the damn stuff sticks and burns. That thin case get pretty hot.

See, you shouldn't be left handed.

I've done the hot .22 brass two step a number of times. Fortunately, never twitched my right finger when I did.

I button myself up when shooting my Bobcats. With no extractor they throw the brass everywhere. My first range trip with them, a couple went down my shirt, so I can sympathize with the lady.

Hot brass will find its way into any openings, this is even more true if you're a female with an open top blouse. High necked clothing is a must out at the range. More than a few times a hot case has landed on my collar and burned my neck while shooting on the line. I can imagine what it would be like if that casing descended deeper into my clothing, I'd be doing the "hot brass boogie" too. Muzzle awareness is critical at all times, this story just shows how important that concept really is for shooters (and observers).

I think the .22 rimfires are the hottest because they are so thin, damn they stick to your skinn and just burn away.

I saw this happen to my friend's daughter. She was firing one of the early Walther p-22s, the ones that ejected the brass straight back at the shooter's face/chest.

She was well spirited and kept shooting after that, just stayed away from that p-22 the rest of the day.

I have had several guns throw brass straight back and land on my glasses/forehead. Needless to say it burns the forehead and eyebrows. I had one gun you could wear a high brim hat and catch all the brass. With the injector on top it through it straight back at you.
