exploding norwegian bullets

Post by bgreenea3 » Tue Jul 26, 2011 6:50 pm

Reading the associated press account of the Norwegian massacre... They said the bad guy used bullets that "exploded", and went on to call them fun fun bullets.....

Were they talking about hollow points or what? I think he used an AK 47 he bought in Poland so HP ammo is a possibility...

I'm thinking hollow points. The accounts I read mentioned "dum-dum" bullets but those are journalist types and they're not usually known for getting the details right on shooting implements. Typically the first versions of a story are highly inaccurate it's later on when the facts seem to align themselves more with what actually happened.

Fragmentation bullets are readily available for hand guns but do not know if there available for rifle loads.

Says he used "light weight bullet often used by airmarshals and hunters".

It is interesting that a nut like this guy flew under the radar for so long...... Even after buying six meteric tons of fertilizer, thaw a lot for a backyard garden and most large farms....
