Deerzilla in my backyard

Post by lucam » Sat Nov 13, 2010 7:14 pm

I woke up to find this out my window.

Upon further inspection:

My buddy on the PD said it got hit by a car around 11:30 last night. Couldn't find it. I don't have to go deer hunting this year....

That's a good sized buck. I wonder how much damage he did to that car?

Nice deer. I bagged one using a Ford E250 bullet late one night. Fair amount of damage.

Nice Buck!!! 6X6 OR 5X6?

I only got drawn for 3 skin heads this year. So far one down & in the freezer.
I've never shot a deer with a 22 cal before and one of the tags was in an area that only close shots could be taken. So I grabbed the Tikka .223 with 60 gr Partitians and took #1 with a neck shot at 45 yards. In retrospect I should have grabbed the hardball gun with 230 Hydroshocks.

The other two tags are in the cropland area so longer shots may be necessary. I'll drag out the 7-08 Improved and let her talk the talk.

Beautiful animal, too bad you couldn't have gotten a shot on this one. I'd hang it on the wall.

6x6.

I'm getting the skull bleached. I don't think I can mount this one. Even though he's so pretty. I just feel bad about him dying like this. :(

Maybe you can mount and hang the front end of the car he probably wasted completely next to him on the wall. :D

The guy who hit it had picked up his BRAND NEW Dodge Durango at 5 pm that same night.

When a truck that new goes to the body shop, you never feel the same about it even if it looks perfect.

Talk about bad luck. Only had it for a few hours and destroy the front end, not a good start.
