Ruger Mark 3 VQ Sear installation makes gun fire full auto

Post by Straightshooter » Fri Mar 21, 2008 10:34 am

I just installed a VQ sear in my Ruger P512MKIII and the gun now will sometimes fire full auto. Anyone know how I can fix this?

that happened with my MK10 a couple years ago.
I re-inserted the 'original sear' and the problem went away.
a couple months later, I switched back to the VQ-sear
and the problem was not there...

I thought it was 'cool while it lasted'... not good for the pistol,
but interesting to shoot a vertical line in about 0.35 seconds !!
I didn't file/sand or tweak anything... just remove/insert.
Good luck. -toy
