First field stripping, got to step 6 cant get bolt out

HELP!

Brand new MKIII512, havn't even fired it yet, wanted to clean out all the sticky factory preservative and give it a good oiling before heading to the range to try it out.

Knowing the reputation for first time dissembley trouble I tried to prepare by going through the guide here on the site as well as the factory manual.

Got the mainspring housing out, had to follow the manual on that one and use a dowel rod and hammer to tap the top part out of the frame. Now I need to get the bolt out of the frame and it wont move more than 1/2" before it hits a solid stop.

Magazine is in (ok I admit it, I also tried with the mag out after hitting the snag but it made no difference).

Instructions say to pull the trigger to the rear, it will move normally but since its in an uncocked state already it does not do anything to help.

Any ideas? I'm going to keep fiddeling with it.

Thanks in advance.

ps, posted this on Rimfirecentral as well, sorry for the crosspost for those who visit both sites.

Got it, Bullseye to the rescue again. I had looked right past his troubleshooting section.

Hammer strut was caught behind the crosspin. I'm an idiot.

You pull the trigger back to allow the hammer to go to full cock to allow the bolt to pass. I think the little hammer strut can hang up on the frame and keep the hammer from going all the way back.

Be sure your hammer is all the way back.
