Springfield XD SC Trigger Safety

Post by Bud33 » Sun Dec 09, 2007 11:10 pm

I have an XD9SC which is a great gun but it presents one problem.
The Trigger Safety eats you finger during recoil.
Has anyone heard of or know of a fix for this problem?
Bud

Beware the man who only has one gun.
HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!

I know what you mean, mine had the same tendency. I solved the problem by cutting a small piece of surgical tubing that was the right diameter to press fit over the entire end of the trigger. It effectively disables the trigger safety mechanism but I was never a fan of that Glock-style trigger arrangement anyway. The XD has a grip safety and I feel that it's enough. I always thought SA would have sold more of the XDs if they got rid of that trigger arrangement and put a 1911-type manual safety on the pistol.
