Using used pins ??

I've stocked up some mostly cheap spare parts for my High Standard revolver. Most are used, and Numrich had a few new, like a cylinder hand.
What I'm wondering, this gun has no screws, just several pins. Some of the used ones are a bit mushroomed on both ends. Is it best to try to peen those back to unmushroomed, or file it off? Should I just do the end that will be inserted? Once in, re-mushroom them, stake with a punch, or loctite? I want to consider that the whole frame is alloy.
On Sentinels, only the hammer pivot, a trigger guard pin, and barrel pin are exposed. The others are in the grip frame, and trapped by the main frame when the gun is assembled. So they don't need anything else to keep them in place.
