Volquartsen trigger screw lengths? AND new VQ stuff

The forum is pretty quiet, so I'll wake it up with a technical question!
I found this thread on Volquartsen triggers, and Bullseye's post on the trigger screw locations, the shorter screw being in the trigger face. I wanted to reassure myself that I had the screws correct:

( I have the newer stainless steel trigger, if it matters)
I reset and re-Loctited my overtravel today, just to be ready for Spring. When I first installed it, I noticed that the screw was in only about 60% of the trigger thickness when adjusted. In other words, the top 40% of the hole is empty. The hole is countersunk, so I only see two threads above the screw.
I have an extra screw set from VQ, so today I tried the longer pretravel screw in the trigger face. It is slightly above the face when adjusted, you can feel it on your finger. So it is slightly too long.
Would there be any benefit to using the longer screw, filed a bit?
FWIW, I set my overtravel with a feeler gauge. It will fire with a .005 leaf under it, but not a .010.

I also noticed today that VQ has new things I wasn't aware of, like a VQ design mainspring housing, a CNC machined stainless disconnector, a magazine loading latch, a spring loaded base for ejecting 22/45 mags, and a competition Mark bolt. Other new stuff, check it out.
