22/45 Hammer pin

Post by Tony S45 » Thu Oct 11, 2012 10:31 pm

I noticed in the Ruger maintenance section of this website that the "click here" reference to the new style 22/45 hammer pin (with the head on it) is displayed in both the MKIII and the original (MKII?) dis/reassembly sections and pictures.

Have I missed the boat? I thought that the new style hammer pin was only necessary for the early MKIII 22/45s and not the original (MKII?) 22/45s.

My original 22/45s have send a lot of rounds downrange and no pins, or any other parts, have gone walking.

Thanks for the heads-up. Nope, the 22/45 hammer pin with a head on it is only for the Mark III version of the 22/45. I must have copied that bit of text and placed it into the 22/45 Mark II section inadvertently. When I go in and edit the maintenance pages I'll remove those lines of text.
