Stuck Mark III magazine

Yep. It happened again. I traded my Mk III Competition to my best friend for a G19 and he immediately shoved a magazine in backwards. At least part of the magazine is visible at the bottom. I have forgotten how to get it out.

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one to have accomplished this feat over the last year. What you have is a magazine that is caught on the mag safety disconnector hook and the upper window of the magazine body. The harder you pull the worse it gets. What you need is a long thin piece of metal, about eight inches long and a half inch wide, bent into a 90° angle along the length. Slide the metal up on the rear, right side corner of the magazine well, between the frame and the mag body until it stops. Push gently upward, into the mag well on both the magazine and the metal lever tool together. Then hold the lever tool in place and pull downward on just the mag. That should release the hook from inside the mag body and allow the magazine to pull free of the frame.
