Ols topic - new question: 22/45 MkIII barrel to MKIII lower

Post by wagon » Sun Mar 06, 2011 3:23 am

I have read a few 2008/2009 posts about (filing) work is needed before a 22/45 barrel can fit a MKIII lower.

Question is: has thing changed in 2010/2011 production?

I have a (2011) 22/45 upper coming, my MkIII lower (SS) is a 2010 production.... not sure if I need to go buy a dremel (finally)

BTW, the underside of the receiver is a very narrow and shallow area, is hand filing realistic .. or do-able?

Nothing as changed on production that I know of. As for fit you will not know till it arrives and you try it. All are a little different.

Tks for the feedback, Blue... I'll keep my fingers crossed then.
