MarkIII KMK678GC

Post by greg » Sun Oct 01, 2006 9:14 pm

Hello,
I’m new to this forum and have some questions regarding the MarkIII KMK678GC, a friend has one and I’m expecting one in a couple of weeks. So if I may I have these ignorances?
1. I find the trigger heavy, and reading in the forum understand that there are some improvements possible.
Specifically volquartsen Accurizing Kit Ruger Mark 3.
a. would I also benefit from Clark Custom bushing kit? (is even possible to install)
2. I’m also considering getting a Volquartsen Extended Bolt Release is that a reasonable accessory?
3. In the Forum discussion I notice a desire to remove bolt release, or a’m I misunderstanding ?
4. Is stoning required what would I need ? Are any punches required ? What snaps caps do you recommend (where?)
5. Is there a place one can get parts for the Mark III -- in case of being overzealous
-----------------
p.s. i hope i'm not breaking any conventions or rules .... took me over 20 minutes just to get to this point --- post hope?
Thankyou for any repies ... hope this is OK

Take a look at all the stickies on the Workshop forum here.
All just my opinions but I don't think you need the VQ kit, just the sear and maybe the trigger later.
No, you don't want to remove the bolt release.
The Clark pin and bushing kit is a good mod.
