I am new to this site so bare with me if this has been asked before. I have done a detailed strip of my MkIII 22/45 and have found the info here to be great. In starting to reassemble I find that the sear spring I have looks like nothing I have seen on these pages or at other sites. The long leg of the spring has two bends in it. The first is at about a forty degree angle and the second is at the end of the long leg. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Your sear spring for a 22/45 should look like the one pictured here (labeled 22/45)
When placing one of these in the frame the long leg goes to the outside and the short leg is toward the inside. Follow the procedure here:

That 22/45 spring looks like it has been damaged, or to be more precise mangled. Looks like you need a new one.

Bullseye,
Received new sear spring and installed it. All is well and will walk over to range today for a little practice. Thanks to you for the assistance.

Great! Just load two rounds at a time as a precaution until you're certain that the sear has the proper amount of spring tension on it from the spring.
