Not your typical MK II VQ sear question/observation

Post by new2mk2 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 10:37 pm

Hi all,

I recently purchaced a VQ sear kit from Midway. I thought it was drilled improperly because at a glance the sear seemed to have a small chip where they cut the slot, maybe measuring 1/32 of a inch running down the drilled hole. I returned it and got another one with a larger chip running down the drilled hole easily 1/16 of an inch where the slot was cut. I than came to the realization that this was probably normal even if the hole seemed to be a little oval. Is this normal? What kind of results, good or bad might happen in the difference? any thoughts is appreciated.

Best Regards

I'm having trouble visualizing the problem. How about a pic?

That is so wrong, send it back. You should call Nic Volquartsen and explain your situation. They must have a bad lot of sears if two look like that. There should be no chip outs on that surface.
