I like the look of it now, I don't think I'd attempt cutting that mount into two separate pieces. You see that on rifles but not on pistols. If one mounts were to come loose, some very odd things would happen with your POA. At least if one screw vibrates loose with the way the mount is now, the rigidity of the scope mount would keep everything aligned and your POA pretty close.

I've been thinking about later adding a modifications page to the Ruger maintenance section, so I'll save this instruction for later addition onto that page.

Good thought. I think I'll just lock it up for a few days til the tinkering urge goes away.

Nah, I just thought it might help if I hide my "dope" for a few days and go cold turkey. That might help me get a handle on my addiction.
I can already hear it calling from the shop though so I'll have to have a "fix" soon.
