Falling in with bad company

First recoil therapy in quite a while. Starting chatting with a fellow who had a couple .45 Colt single actions. Let him and the two ladies with him shoot my Ruger .22's. When I said I had been semi-looking for a lever in either .45 Colt of .357, he invited me to shoot his Taylor Uberti. A lot more than the Henry I'd been looking at. I think the price of poker just went up. Very, very nice rifle.

Taylors guns look pretty good. Lately I've been looking at the Cimarron 1885 low-wall rifles. They are well finished, can be had with double-set triggers and are offered in a number of BP era pistol cartridges. - I'm thinking maybe a 32-20.
With the barrel shortened, one of these would make an outstanding small game and casual target shooter. The 30" barrel reduced to 20" would be just about right.

very nice, I have an 1594C A real Marlin carbine in .38/.357 and really enjoy shooting it with some really soft puff loads at 25yards, do not know where they are at 50, as I have never been able to put a hole ion the 2x3 backer, 148 HBWC

I have a 1950's era Win 94, in 32 win special, but I haven't shot it very much. It was a gift to me from my Dad several years back. It is in near perfect condition and I hate to take it out and possibly marr it. Sooner or later I will have to break down and give it a go.

I have a similar problem, only with an old Marlin 1893 in .32-40 that my Dad used for target shooting.. Even left me the moulds, dies, shells and 2 boxes of factory ammo!... one of these days....
