It Is Starting to Shoot!

Some of you know I've been doing load testing and barrel breakin on a new Savage Model 12 LRVP 223, Now with 130 rounds fired at 100yds holding to proper barrel break in procedures and dealing with very hot conditions things are coming together. Target #1 is AA2520 under a Sierra 69g BTHP. The bottom group is pressure testing working up to the final load. Target 2 is the same powder over Sierra 52 gn HPBT. 3 & 4 are some Nosler hunting bullets loads I'm still working on using Varget. Regards

Seems to like both the heavy and light bullets. What's the twist rate in that barrel?

Thanks Blue & Bullseye, it is a 9 spin. The other good news is that I had an 8 lb keg of that AA2520 in my stash from my 308 loads. Regards

Man it sure feels good when things come together. I'd say that's some fine shooting there. I got a feeling there's going to be deer at your table this winter.

Very nice shooting, KAZ. I wouldn't want to be in front of that thing at 1000 yds.
