Open Carry Favorite

There is apparently some discussion in Austin Texas about loosening up the gun laws here in Texas, including open carry.
My family and I talked this evening about what we would carry around in a holster, if this came about.
I have an Astra A-100 in .40 caliber that is too heavy to carry concealed, but might be passable for open carry with a sturdy belt. I have 10 and 13 round magazines for it, the ten round is a bit lighter so I'd probably use that.
Because of its size and weight, the Astra has been a hideout gun for over a decade, now. It has spent the bulk of its time in a drawer. - I take it out to shoot it, clean it, and reload it once a year, whether it needs it or not. The gun is utterly reliable, has never messed up in any way.
My son says he would carry his classic Walther P-38.
If I had my druthers, I'd probably opt for a Colt single action army, but I don't have one of those.
What would be your favorite hog-leg for open carry?
