UPS emailed me yesterday, my LCR-357 is on its way, at my FFL Monday.
2nd Day Air becomes 4th Day Air, since they don't deliver Saturday or Sunday. You would think someone would have a fit over a gun laying at the UPS hub for two days?

Is it a jinx getting a gun on April Fool's Day?.......

Now I'll have two extra boxes, rugs, manuals, and locks. I'll also have an Ionbond coated cylinder, like the replacement LCR-22. I prefer the Target Grey, but I guess the Ionbond is okay.

I've got some .38 and .22 to spare, just need the weather to cooperate soon for the range.

Wish I had some .22's to spare. None to be had here. I can make the .357's....at least until the primers run out.

Good luck with that new one.

I have noticed several people low on 22lr stock. Sad that it has gotten this way. I thought
the whole idea of shipping a gun was that it would make it to it's destination prudently? I
guess it's resting a couple days in a truck somewhere. Good luck when you finally get it.

You cannot currently buy 22lr in Alpine, Texas.

I have a couple of bricks, partially depleted that I hope will carry me through until more is available.

Picked up my new LCR-357 this afternoon. It was test fired Thursday.

Overall, seems better than the one returned. The gray frame frame finish is darker, and the roll marks seem clearer, pretty faint on my other one. I haven't measured anything yet, but cylinder play on the crane seems tighter, and so does lock up. Trigger feels no different, as best as I can remember.

The serial is 29000 higher than the first, bought nine months ago. That's a lot of LCR-357s!

The Ionbond DiamondBlack cylinder pretty well matches the frame, so all that stands out now is the bare stainless trigger.

May be a couple more weeks to the range, but I think it's a keeper.

I'm betting it is. They seem to have made a number of improvements in the newer, compared to the earlier offerings.

Please keep us informed as to the workability of your LCR. I have one and it's
been good to me so far. It's one of my two favorite carry guns.

Good to hear it's back in your hands. I'm betting they have finally got all of the bugs out of them by now. Even though the last problem was an odd one. This one should be the winner that stays with you. Let us know how it fires.

If I ever get some ammo for it. Even though I have a good stash, I'd like to find one new box of .38s and a new .22LR Value Pack for my range trip. I'd just rather not touch the stash, and it would give me a more positive feeling if I had fresh ammo for the trip. Finding ammo right now is like an inmate getting the governor's phone call.......

I guess so. Went to Gander this AM, they looked worse than ever, even getting a shipment last night. No .38 or .22. I could have bought some Federal American Eagle .357 for $34.99, but not for me in my LCR. I like my wrists just the way they are.......

No to hijack your thread, I'm posting a new thread comparing Ruger's to Smith & Wesson's Post Sales Customer Service.
Thread title: A Tale of Two Guns
Member NRA, CSSA and NFA (the last two in Canada).
