Ruger P94 Accuracy?

Post by greener » Sun Apr 29, 2012 8:32 am

I fired a P94 DC model yesterday. The best I could do was keep the grouping under 12" at 25 yards. It was better than the owner shooting from a rest who couldn't get much better than 2' X 1'. I was shooting my P90 and was putting everything in a 6" Shoot 'n See. (First three rounds were X's and it was all down-hill after that). I shot standing with a two hand grip.

Anyone shoot a P94? All I know about the Ruger P series is the P90 and that is a darned accurate pistol. The P94 was disappointing. The guy was shooting Blazer and handloads from a buddy. No difference.

He had installed Williams Fire Sights on the P94. Almost a drop in change. Those sights are great for old, blind eyes.

I've had my hands on a few. Most fired in the 8" range at 25yds, acceptable for defensive standards. Hard to say what is up with that one. Maybe a worn out barrel or some cleaning rod wear near the muzzle.
