Choosing a recoil spring for S&W 6906

Post by Matt_S » Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:18 pm

I'm looking at Midway's site and they have the S&W springs for $1.99. Would I be better off getting a Wolff spring in a 16 or 17lb? I normally shoot cheap stuff on the range, but keep JHPs in it for when it's on the nightstand. Also, would it be a good option to spring for the front night sight? Thanks in advance.

The 6906 standard factory weight recoil spring is #15. At those prices you can get one of each and see which one operates best in your pistol. Kind of like building your own recoil spring calibration pack.
