.300 blackout

Post by bgreenea3 » Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:49 am

Wandering through the toystore today, they had a complete upper in 300 blackout...
What I've seen on this cartridge intrigues me. 308 bullets out of a 5.56 NATO case necked up. Ballistics link a 30-30 with light pointy bullets or heavy 200-220 gr boolits at 1100 fps.....

Plus factory rounds are not much more pricy than 5.56...

Looks like a fun round to mess with.

The ones using the AR platform for hog hunting go the next step up, 458 SOCM. This round was developed for urban combat.....
