RCBS hand primer

RCBS hand primer
A year ago I purchased the RCBS Rockchucker Supreme Kit. I think it is a great way to get started in reloading. I also think the single stage press is the right press to start with. I prime the brass while watching tv or the likes, and this makes it less of a chore. RCBS came out with a new model primer, which I thought was a good idea. I get tired of changing the shellholders around along with the associated parts. My question is, does anybody have this new hand primer to make a comment on it?

I don't have the RCBS, but I have Lee's version of the same idea. LOVE it! Haven't primed with the press in dog's years. Better feel, much faster.
Wife gets a little tired of the "rattle-rattle-rattle...squeeeze...CLINK!" as I prime several hundred rounds whilst sitting in the Lazy B@stard watching TeeBee...

An empty weapon is just a very expensive hammer.

Went out and tried ten brass through each one, been over a year, maybe 2, since I've used either.. Both my Lee and RCBS are apparently old enough that there are some slight visible differences than current production models, but the Lee was quicker to set up and use. That and considering current pricing on both, I'd probaly pick the Lee if I had to buy again.
I'm not sure if my question was answered or not, but I'll try again. I have the old style RCBS hand primer. Just recently, they come out with an updated version where it has a "universal" shell holder. See these websites so you can see the differences, and suggest if you think it is worth it to purchase the "updated version:

At this point, I haven't made any decision to buy one. I was sorta hoping someone else would do that. Although, I have probably invented a few cuss words over the presently owned version. I get tired of taking it apart to change for different calibers. I just wonder how the universal shellholder works. Maybe I'm a little spoiled, whining about such trivial things.Yleefox
I'm still hoping you'll buy one of the universal shellholder variety Hak, and give us a review of it.

Great unit, used one for a 2 years before getting a Dillon progressive. Still use it for .40 which I only load a few hundred a year, not enough to justify dies for the Dillon. A winner for single stage reloading.
