My Compact 870

I just acquired an original factory top folder. It has a parkerized finish, and the folding mechanism is solid with no wiggle. I expected recoil to be brutal and started with #8  , and to my surprise it wasn't as much as s similar wooden stock. Might be the downward slope of the stock pushing down as opposed to straight back.

A bad shot is often caused by a loose nut behind the buttplate
