Help! - MKIII oversize hammer bushing problem...

Post by FreeMe » Thu May 17, 2007 10:47 pm

Bullseye, anybody... - apparently, I mistakenly ordered the Clark oversize bushing and sear pin, instead of the oversize bushing and hammer pin for my MKIII. So what I got was the oversize sear pin and bushing for 22/45.

I didn't realize this until after I did some work to the bushing to get it to fit into my VQ hammer. Now that I have a press-fit, it became apparent that something was not right. I got to looking and realized that the sear pin had nothing to do with my MKIII and I have no hammer pin (from Clark). Also - the bushing doesn't seem right. Are the 22/45 and MKIII Clark bushings different?

I saw you question on Mark III.org and posted an answer there.

The hammer bushings between the Mark II and the 22/45 (Mark II) models are the same. The bushings between the Mark III models are the same. The bushings are not the same between the Mark II and the Mark III model pistols.

Thanks, Bullseye - I answered you there as well.

For anyone else reading this - make sure you're awake when you order parts!
