Marlin 39a octagon dovetail plug

Hi guys. I've got a Marlin 39a 1897 Texan model .22 fitted with target sights. I removed the rear sight, leaving a dovetailed notch. I can't find a plug for the octagon barrel. Plenty for the round barrel. I'd welcome any advice for info.

You could try one of these for that dovetail slot. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2073 ... SLOT_BLANK Currently they're out of stock but they look pretty nice on the octagon barrel in the empty slot.

Midway carries these too, http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/de ... ber=128446 but they are out of stock too.
