There I was @ the LGS with my brother watching him fill out the purchase forms when I see a forlorn 10/22 in the cart they keep their trades in. Rifling looked okay & the crown was intact and other than some black spray paint it seemed pretty solid. $150 later it left with me as a project gun for my 11 year old daughter because as you put it "every body needs one"

That's about it. Recently picked up the Baron, an International. Did not eve know they were making them again until Iii saw It on RFC, and guy were having them back ordered. Well my regular dealer could not get one but the dealer about 15 miles southwest had one in stock. Drove down there and looked at it and had to have it, came back home with me that day, Got to shoot it a couple hundred rounds before the COLD moved in.
WOW, another milestone reached, this is number 3000 post.
