Sight Bases for Remington 572

Post by CharlieBee » Sun Nov 07, 2010 2:10 pm

I recently tried to mount a Weaver TO-10, 3/8" to Weaver, base on my Remington 572. It does not fit (too wide). I've had the rifle since the late '60's so I thought maybe the groove was off, Not so. I "miked" it at .375 from front to back. Does anyone have an alternative besides tapping the receiver? Any experience with the B-Square two piece setup?

Buy som Millett, widage adjustable rimfire rings. That is what I have on my 572, works great, just make sure they are tightened properly.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.
