10-22 Stocks

Post by greener » Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:35 pm

The standard stock on my 10-22 is uncomfortable. If I shoot more than 20 or so rounds the muscle below my right thumb starts to cramp. I believe this is because the stock is fatter at the grip and it may be the grip angle. I've been looking at other stocks: tactical, hogue, thumb hole and evolution types. Any comments or suggestions on stocks that may be less painful?

I like this thumb hole stock from Fajen: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=160119 But your tastes may differ from a dedicated adjustable target stock. Here's the same style but a fixed version for much less $$ : http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=579936

These are a little more pricey: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=628193

Good price on the Fajen stock. They are all for the .920" barrel and I have the standard barrel. Of course, with the $50 off the stock, I could put that on a target barrel.
