Remona has a new companion also

Post by bearandoldman » Thu Nov 26, 2009 1:36 pm

Remona was feeling left out after Henry got th K2.5 El Paso Weaver, so. bid and won for less than $30.00 shipped a very nice Weaver K4 C3 USA, not an El Paso but it looks good. Been trying to buy another but some of them collectors have bid them out of sight. Saw a K4 in original box go for I believe over 300 bucks. We have an extra set of rings in the bench and Remona may be wearing her new glasses this evening.

Well, I was correct that I did have a set of 1 inch rimfire rings in my parts box. We got the k4 mounted and boresighted and if the weather is favorable tomorrow we may get in some test targets.

Not the best of weather today 40F, very gray and dim, windy 15 to 20 mph mostly Westerly blowing straight down the range from the berm, Was able to get zeroed pretty much with the Fed Bulk and the shot these 4 before I got cold and headed for a warm place. That K4 works quite well, now to find another one for Moses.

Looks like it's a winning combo.

Saturday the 28th was a really nice day for this part of the country in the end of November, sunny 50F+ and literally no wind. Bear and I took Remona and Moses to the range for some trials. Locks like Remona has taken possession of that K4, not bad on targets and just loves to get Petey shot up, don't think she missed one out of 3 or 4 tubes of Fed bulk. Still looking for another K4, but e bay just bids them up too high, must have been lucky the day I bought that one for under 30 bucks shipped.
