I have heard they are some good shootin, small groupin, fantastic rifles. Are the CZ 452's hit and miss with production guns, do they need lots of work to get shooitn tight..??? Can anyone tell me their story?

Thanks,

Chad

CZs are very fine rifles. I have 4 of them and they all shoot very good. With excellent accuracy. The barrels are hammer forged with tight bores. I would recommend a 20 cal cleaning rod or a Patch Worm for cleaning them.

Once you find the ammo the rifle likes the accuracy is excellent.

If you like iron sights the models that come with sights are some of the best sights on a factory rifle that you can buy.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. Is that stock shooting straight out of box?

Yes it is but they need to be free floated.
I found I get the best accuracy with 24 in lbs of torque on both action screws.

The CZ 452's that I shot were all very impressive out of the box. I liked the stock trigger pull too.

Hello chadfly and all
I have a 452 in .17HMR and a 452 Full Stock in .22LR. Both are excellent shooting guns.
I have yet to see a CZ that does not shoot, and better than just average.
Everyone I have seen is a "Keeper".
all the best

I recently bought a left handed CZ 452 American. It shot great right out of the box! Doesn't seem to be too ammo sensitive. I have shot Prairie Dogs out to 100 yards or so using Winchester Power Points.
I put a "Yodave" trigger kit in mine and got a nice 2# pull with very little creep.
I'm going to float the barrel and see if that improves it any but it shoots just fine right now.

Another vote for CZ. I have a CZ 452 Varmint wearing a Weaver V-16, BRNO Model 1 with Mueller APV and a CZ 511 Semi-auto. Excellent rifles.
