Sentinel more period correct with vintage John and Jay

Found a NOS Bianchi Ranger holster for my High Standard Sentinel a few weeks back that's a near perfect fit. It's a nylon fabric holster they made in the early 80s. Much better construction than current nylon. Heavy weight web retention strap that attaches to the holster with Velcro. Makes it easy to get any length and position.

The original package shows a MSRP of $20, which would be around $45 today? That may be the reason they no longer make it. I gave $15 for this one. Bianchi still has a Ranger line, but it's tactical style gear.

Also found some NOS Jay Scott pearl grips for it on eBay. They have the thin mahogany backing, like most Scotts. They actually fit real well, except the bottom corners could be rounded a bit. I know some people wouldn't be caught dead with pearl, but I think it looks fine.

didn't Gen Patton call pearl handled pistols "a pimps gun"?

A reporter had asked him, mistakenly, about his pearl handled pistols. Patton actually had ivory grips on a Colt SAA and a S&W .357. He said something like, "Only a cheap New Orleans pimp would have a pearl handled pistol". I've read several versions of his wording. Patton also had a 1908 Colt he kept in an inside pocket of his Ike jacket. The man obviously liked being well armed.

Best I got is some ivory grip photos that Bullseye put up for me in this thread. Just picture pearl instead of ivory?

The Ranger holster looks like the current AccuMold, but it's not molded:
