New Ruger Single-Nine

A nine shot, .22WMR only version of Single-Six. 6.5 inch stainless.

I don't get it, since a convertible Single-Six in 6.5 inch stainless is more versatile, for the same MSRP?

Has that uggally fiber front sight, too. May be useful for some, but just looks wrong on a SA revolver.

Yet another new Ruger to further back up production and service on the other models.
* 2 Ruger Bearcat stainless, w/ EWK ejector housings & Wolff springs
* Ruger SP-101 .22LR, w/ Wolff springs
* 2 NAA Guardian .32ACP

* S&W 15-22 Sport (.22LR AR)
* 2 Ruger SR22 .22LR pistols

Sounds like they couldn't get the Single 10 to take a Magnum cylinder so the Single 9 was the alternative.

Think I agree, the single six convertible, is a better deal if you want a .22lr and wmr revolver. I've probably shot 150 rounds of magnum from my single 6. .22lr is a lot less expensive for plinking and cutting paper.

The problem that I keep running across with .22 mag handguns is that I am not usually wearing hearing protection, in the field.

Everything is OK at the range - but when I am hunting, the report is too sharp for comfort.

If I were planning on hunting with .22 mag, I'd be looking at rifles.
