New to me MKIII 22/45

Post by redmond » Mon May 28, 2012 11:53 pm

Hello all - New guy here.

I ran into a barely used, month old, MKIII 22/45 at the LGS yesterday. They wanted $250, got it for $200. Came with the box, 2 mags, owner manual, etc.

Been wanting one of the 22/45s for a while, so was glad to find it. Stopped at the range on the way home, ran a swab through the barrel and then shot a couple hundred rounds. No issues, highly accurate,

Took it home and based on reports, prepared for the dreaded take down, cleaning and reassembly. Just followed the manual and had no problems at all. It is very different than other pistols, but not hard to do.

Thanks for all the great info on this site. Nice group of folks here.
