Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear on that point. I did a lot of rimfire pistol shooting until I fell in love with a CZ 452 American and the quest for a 5-shot one ragged hole at 50 yards (haven't found the holy grail yet). I'd like to keep my hand in some with a .22 pistol and I thought that a conversion kit for my Kimber .45 would sort of do double duty in that I'd get some additional training with the pistol that is my primary carry gun and have some cheap fun at the same time. My range time is sort of limited so I try to spend the time I have at what I enjoy most and what (I hope) will improve my skills for self-defense. That's my theory anyway.
