Clark Custom M41 barrel

Post by Python » Sun Aug 22, 2010 3:04 pm

Been thinking of getting another barrel for my M41.

Specifically Clark Custom # CLK-570-BO in 5.5"

Trying to get my long line scores up a little more.

Anyone have any experience with these barrels.

Thanks;

Well I just got off the phone with John Zurek talking about my M41 and his experience at Camp Perry this year.

John is going to have our Arizona armorer work my trigger and Ransom rest it to determine if it is the gun or me.

I will probably have him do my RR .45 trigger also.

John told me that this armorer is the one who did Brian Zins trigger, for what its worth...

So I am going to wait on the new barrel for now.

The rest should reveal if your barrel will hold a group.

Well, I just went ahead and ordered my birthday present today.

Bought the Clark custom 6.5" STC model.

Will try it out this weekend.

Well, this is my M41 with a Clark custom 6.5" barrel.

Installed Herrett grips, which feel a lot better than the factory ones(less slippage in the hands with all the checkering).
I do have a strip of skate board tape on the front and back also.

Replaced the 4 dot match dot with the Aimpoint Micro H-1.

Been shooting it in BE for a couple months now.

Shooting Wolf match ammo.

I love the feel and balance now compared to what it was.

Scored an 869-41x yesterday in a 2700 match, my new personal best.

Now if I could just shoot my .45 as good as the M41.

Practice, practice, practice.

My goal this year is to make Master after 2 years of BE shooting.
