You could say that and probably be right. A bit windy yesterday but got a few rounds through the 10/22T, and it looks like the pressure pad will be an improvement to over the barrel being floated.

If I don't get too tempted by sunny and warm and decide to see if the boat still floats, I'm going to take my problem child out and see if something 8under barrell helps.

Try it, all of my 10/22's seem to shoot better with the pressure on the forend. The owner, and old friend of mine at the LGS, said the Rugers will shoot better that way. You know if Bill Ruger thought they should be barrell should be floated, he would probably built them that way, makes sense, eh?
Very important with a boat that you keep the water on the outside.
