Today, and tomorrow, our club holds an "open" 2 days for the general public to sight in their hunting rifles, and to just get to know us. Since most of the active members were otherwise occupied this weekend, I pretty much am left with being the "Club guy" all day for the two days. Anyway, I got to meet some nice folks, and in between got to shoot several of my own guns that have sort of been lonesome recently. My Marlin 1894 in 45-70 was a blast (literally) to shoot. My eyes aren't getting any younger, and I really need to quit procrastinating, and install the tang sight that has been on the shelf for 2 years now. New scope on my 30-36 only took a few round to bring it in, having already bore sighted it. Also the new handload for it worked quite well.
Then I played the several .22s the rest of the day. Tomorrow, Ill take out a different assortment.
The only down side is that now I have to clean them all again.
I kept the range open from 9 to 5, and will do so again tomorrow, but the time sure goes fast.
Good Day at the Range.

Today was also a good day. Met some new folks, interesting conversations, saw some lots of different equipment. Also, it was much cooler today, Yesterday was in the 90s, today hi 60s to low 70s, and cloudy.
Recruited a new club member, and learned some new things.
Good time.
Why not y'all come to our next one? Everyone on here is welcome, and would fit right in .

On the other hand, anyone in NW Ohio is welcome at my range as well - drop me a message and I'll see if I can get set up indoor or outdoor for some blasting and lunch, or something.

A bit far for me too. I spent some time in Yakima, just a couple of years after Mount Saint Helens lost her temper. You have some beautiful country there. Nothing beats a drive through the Cascades to see some nature.
