New Ruger (or Rugers?)

Post by ruger22 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 12:53 pm

Got an email today from Ruger, and found their website now starts with the same message. They point out that they made the 2008, '09, and '10 handguns of the year, and they're doing it again, starting the new year with a bang. Then says "more information tomorrow".

The website shows a new Scout rifle. It's .308, similar to an M-1. Have a look:

http://www.ruger.com/

Since the teaser makes a big deal of handguns, I'm guessing they mean a new handgun, in addition to this Scout rifle. We'll see tomorrow.......

Don't know what to think about that scout rifle, single stack mag to me is a let down and the flash hider while likely very effective just doesn't do it for me.

They're obviously about to announce a carbine built on the mk3 action and sharing parts/magazines.

Not familiar with the Buckmark guns, but I do remember the Marlin Camp 9 and 45 and sure would like to have one of the Camp 45's to go with my 1911's. Saw one LNIB on Gunbroker and the bid was up near $800.00 dollar and days to go.
